The Scheduled option offers a great way to set a specific time interval for quiet hours. This is perfect when you have time set aside every day when you don’t want disturbance. Toggling this will allow you to select the period you want the Do Not Disturb mode to activate. At this time window, this mode will activate every day until you turn it off. Silence

The Silence option allows you to choose if you want to mute phone calls, alerts, and notifications all the time or just when your phone is locked. If you choose Always, the mode will apply even when you are scrolling through Facebook. You still get alerts while viewing your social media pages, when you select ‘While iPhone is locked.’

Phone

If you only want to receive a certain call from one particular person, then the Phone section of Do Not Disturb allows you to do that. We have an option to receive call alerts from everyone calling, everyone in your favorite contact list, and, or no one. It is also possible to choose any created groups and All Contacts. The phone’s actual ringer needs to be on when you decide to allow call alerts while the Do Not Disturb me mode is on. In other words, you can’t turn on the silent ringer on the left side. If you do that, if your phone isn’t placed where you can see it, you won’t hear the call coming, but the screen will still light up.

Do Not Disturb While Driving

This unique feature comes with iOS 11, where the Do Not Disturb mode is turned on when you are behind the wheel. Notifications won’t be heard, felt, or seen when you are driving your car. The feature is turned on manually or automatically when you have your iPhone connected to your car’s Bluetooth. Any call coming will only be allowed while your phone is connected to Bluetooth.

It also cannot send an automatic message to anyone who sends you a message while this feature is activated. To do this, you need to choose whether the auto-reply sends a message to recent text messages, favorites, or no one. After that, you can then write the kind of message you want the auto-reply to send.

The sender can override the Do Not Disturb mode by responding with URGENT. When he or she does this, you will get an alert in the notification. You may not see this feature if your phone is outdated. To enjoy this feature ensures that your iOS is up to date.

With a Do Not Disturb mode turned on, you can rest easy knowing that your phone won’t misbehave while asleep or when you are attending an important meeting. This applies to calls and text messages.
